Election Time: Donald Trump vs. Kamala Harris.

My share in Facebook banters. In Friends’ Page/s.

IT would be hard for anti-Trumps to issue an "opinion" without the crass retorts. LOL! Meanwhile, anti-Kamalas may share less dark adjectives but still a few will talk about her policy programs (which are, anyway, blurry to me and expectedly traditional campaign yarns).

I am unaligned so let me talk about both. <>Sans his aggro personality, Mr Trump's down-home (business-focused) pragmatism is good for the U.S. and the world, which is still hobbling from the Covid-19 pandemic and economic blowback of two ongoing wars. He had a better handle of the economy and despite a trade war with China, he ended his term with a trade pact. He can follow through if he wins. No point really in fighting with China because they don't want to fight (militarily). They do battle on the trade table. And because they have the largest labor force, they have the pertinent raw materials and minerals (along with BRICS buddies), the 5 biggest banks in the world etcetera, they hold the economic leverage.

Donald views wars as a waste of taxpayer money. He will push to end these wars in the trade table, not in the battlefield. He had two peace talks in his 4 years, after all. His friendship with Russia and Saudi Arabia (hence the Arab League) are paths to peace rather than further animosities.

HARD to assess Kamala because she is a veep, a silent partner of President Joe Biden, whose policies (home based and overseas) both failed. She never fought with her boss so I assume she will continue Joe's playbook as a quid pro quo deal (upon being picked as November bet).

Also, Ms Harris was #6 when she dropped out of the 2020 Democratic Party primary so her own supposed voters may not believe she is the best bet vs Mr Trump. Current polls say she leads her Republican rival but do we really bank so much in surveys?

The apolitical or "disengaged" read writings on the wall, cold as a cat's blank stare. So they will vote per grocery receipts, uncontrolled border crossings, money wasted in wars over budget upgrades for FEMA etc etcetera. Donald Trump's minions are solid as ever but Kamala Harris's are divided between liberals and progressives. RFK Jr.’s bloc may even go to The D despite Bobby Jr. a former Dem. Beyond the ideological overreach of the New Left that is self-sabotaging and only benefits the upper rung of society, I'd go for the candidate who could take care of what gut-level needs. 🏛🗽🏛

ON Trump allegedly lying.

ALL politicians who actually "served" lied, for partisanship/party convenience or leadership tactics. Lie isn't confined to, say, Ted Kennedy leaving a drowning mistress in Chappaquidick in 1969, or Bill Clinton's blowjobs in the Oval Office in 1995, or George W. Bush knowing there's no credible intel on Iraq WMD in 2003, or Barack Obama in re closing Guantánamo or troops pullout from Afghanistan (2009-2017), or details of Mr Trump's extra $ to Stormy for kickass service or Biden's sincerity in ending the current Gaza crisis. Etc etcetera.

Lies in leadership parlance need a physical, non-partisan proof as well, which is next to impossible. So I break down my ambitions (or activism) into two glaring crimes: Military aid to a nation at war instead of ending it via diplomatic means and blatant thievery of a nation's wealth (count the Marcos family, of course).

In America, I mostly see its lies and crimes beyond my comfortable couch in North Carolina. I see them in war rubles and the sick and dying in Africa, as examples, which we here don't really see so we busy ourselves with superlatives of our chosen politician and disparagement of the rival. Most of which are grade school level praises and heckling. 🏛🗽🏛
