Trans. Not Trans. And the Politics of it all.

From my Facebook page.

MY THOUGHT. News York Sun. “Boxer Disqualified From World Championships for Having ‘XY Chromosomes’ Wins First Olympic Bout When Opponent Quits After 46 Seconds.”

THE controversy falls under the "trans" issue. Whether the athletes involved are trans or not. Their eligibility was an issue in another sports association. Otherwise, there'd be no controversy at all. There are many female fighters who "look like" males and are strong as well. (Check as well in the athletics events.) No one would have complained. Rules are also complex. So my post is saying, to resolve this, create a separate category. But for sure other controversies may also crop up among trans, if that happens. That's how confused the world is these days, I guess.

The organization that banned Mr/Ms/they concerned was the International Boxing Association, which is basically led by Russia. The IOC, which governs the Olympics, doesn’t recognize IBA. You get the drift? Emane Khelif of Algeria (male, female, trans?) competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 but no howls of protest or none of this kind. Meanwhile, in Paris, only 15 non-medal contending Russians were allowed, due to U.S.-led sanction.

Now, we can issue insights based on that backstory albeit political. But isn't trans per se or gender issues a culture war/political caterwaul? ๐Ÿ‹️‍♀️๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท⛹️‍♀️

LET’S try to widen our scope of insight a bit rather than narrow it with “your facts, my facts, their facts.” Obviously, the controversy falls under the "trans" issue. Otherwise, there'd be no controversy at all. ๐Ÿ‹️‍♀️๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท⛹️‍♀️

THE world has gone so (--I don't have a word that would be apt--) that I somehow feel relieved that I'd be gone before humanity totally alienates each other with "ideological overreach" and an ever-eerie divide. I don't want to see that world, but I am sure my grandchildren and the young would find ways to coexist with it. ๐Ÿ‹️‍♀️๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท⛹️‍♀️

FACEBOOK Friend: “Actually come to think of it, this case still has something to do with the trans, coz I think many people are just sensitive about having not real women competing real women because of some cases before where a trans was allowed and won in women's sports, like the Lia Thomas incident. It's because of some people in authority who push/force woke or whatever you call it agenda/interest (actually any agenda that simply imposes itself unto others) into whatever part of society they can manipulate. The Olympics is just one of the many, I guess.”

ME: I prefer to just enjoy what can be enjoyed in life. Olympics, sports per se, Hollywood, food, pets whatever. Simplify my existence amidst the complexities. And I still want to laugh for real and not a LOL! ๐Ÿ‹️‍♀️๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท⛹️‍♀️
